IT should simply work.
Like a carpenter’s hammer or an artist’s brush, the best IT is the kind you don’t have to think about. Our mission is to enable businesses to do their best by optimizing their IT environment to fit their goals and budget.
Project-only, on purpose
White Knights does IT projects and nothing else. We don’t sell monthly support contracts, hardware, or licenses, so our incentives stay simple: finish the project well, document it completely, and hand it back.
That makes us easy to bring in. Businesses get a specialist for the project without changing who supports them day to day, and MSPs get engineering capacity without a competitor in the room.
Who you’ll work with
Karl Sellsted
Founder, White Knights LLC
Karl Sellsted has been taking computers apart since he was a kid. He replaced a failed graphics card at 13 with Dell support on the phone, mapped every cable on printer paper before taking apart the family desktop at 15, and built his first PC at 17.
He made it his career in 2013 and has spent it on the service side of IT, inside the MSPs and IT firms that keep other businesses running. Since then he has worked with more than 300 clients, from law firms and builders to nonprofits and local governments. He has completed more than 40 email migrations along the way, nearly 20 of them away from GoDaddy. As a senior systems engineer at ICS Support in Redmond, he was the primary incident-response engineer for many client cyberattacks and server and network outages. He also led the roll out of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email protection across the entire client base.
After that, he made the shift from engineer to consultant and joined ISOutsource in 2021 as a Senior Consultant, and eight months later was promoted to a Managing Consultant. In that role he also began working with the Sales team as the company’s primary sales engineer, turning what prospective clients described into plans and estimates. A year later the company made it official and created the Sales Engineering Lead role for him, which now included owning the onboarding process and projects for all new clients. In 2025 it created another role for him, Client Solutions Manager, where he looked after more than 150 of its smaller clients and built the team that served them.
Hundreds of those sales calls showed him two gaps, and gave him the idea for the White Knights. First, many businesses don’t need a monthly IT contract; they need an IT project completed efficiently with good documentation. Second, even good MSPs run short on engineers when support work piles up, so their projects wait, leaving their clients waiting.
White Knights is built to fill both gaps. Businesses get one project at a fixed price, finished and documented, with nothing to sign up for afterward. MSPs get an engineering partner who finishes their projects under their name and never goes after their clients.

-
Tenacity

What we don’t do
We leave these to specialists, and we’ll point you to good ones.
- Managed services and 24/7 support
- We’ll introduce you to an MSP we trust, and hand our finished work to them.
- Low-voltage cabling
- Licensed contractors install new cable runs. We plan the work and coordinate them.
- Hardware and software resale
- You buy directly, so our advice is never tied to a markup.
Where we work
We’re a US-based, remote-first firm and work with businesses and MSPs anywhere in the United States. Nearly every project is delivered remotely. When one needs hands on equipment, we schedule an engineer to travel to your site, with travel quoted up front.
