Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrationFor businesses and MSPs

Tenant moves touch everything at once.
Identities, mail, files, Teams, and the domain your customers know you by all change together. A missed group or a domain moved too early shows up as bounced mail and locked-out staff. We map every user, group, and site first, then run the cutover from a written runbook so nothing depends on memory.
When to consider starting this project
- Two companies are becoming one
- A division is being sold or spun off
- You’re rebranding to a new domain
Mapped first, moved second, verified last.
- Assessment of the source and target tenants
- User, group, and license mapping
- Mailbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams migration
- Domain move and coexistence planning
- Staff communication templates for cutover
- A checklist for retiring the old tenant
From first call to documented handoff.
Scoping is free, and the price is agreed before any work begins. Most projects are quoted at a fixed fee.
Before the work
-
Discover
We start with a free call. You tell us what you want, what you use now, and when you need it done.
-
Plan
We send you a free written plan. It lists the work and any equipment, with a price for each.
-
Sign
You sign the plan, and we put your project on our calendar. Nothing starts until you say yes.
The work
-
Implement
We do the work, mostly over the internet. If a job needs us in person, we come to you.
-
Adjust
Testing and real-life use show what needs work. We fix those things and fine-tune the setup.
-
QA
We check every item in your plan, one at a time. We don’t move on until everything works.
After the work
-
Document
We write down what we built, how it’s set up, and why. Our diagrams help whoever works on it next.
-
Handoff
We show you and your team how it all works. Then we hand over the passwords and the documents.
-
Follow-up
After we hand it over, we check back with you. We make sure everything still works.
We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so the sooner you’re scoped, the sooner you’re on the calendar.
Straight answers
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.
Can’t Microsoft just merge the two tenants?
No. Tenants can’t be merged. Users, mail, and files move from one tenant into the other, and the domain follows at cutover.
Does Microsoft charge for the migration?
If we use Microsoft’s built-in cross-tenant migration, each migrated user needs a one-time Cross Tenant User Data Migration license. Third-party migration tools have their own costs. We compare the options during scoping.
Can both companies keep working together during the move?
Yes. When you need it, we plan coexistence, such as shared calendars and mail routing between the two organizations, until cutover.
What happens to the old tenant?
Once the data is verified and nobody needs it, you retire it with the checklist we leave you.
For MSPs
Tenant-to-tenant moves for acquisitions and rebrands, scoped and delivered in your tools.
We deliver it white-label or co-branded, work in your PSA, RMM, and documentation platform, and never sell managed services to your clients.
